how do u balance this equation:

C20H42+O2—–>H2O+CO2

this is a science equation

here is the word equation
carbon(20)hydride(42) and oxygen(2) produce water (H2O)and carbon dioxide

ok i think i figured it out. You would need:

2C20H42+122O2=> 42H2O+40CO2

In words that would be:

Two-Carbon(20)Hydrogen(42)+ One hundred and twenty-two-Oxygen(2) [yields] Fourty-two-Water + Fourty-Carbon diOxyde

ok thaaanx it was right except for the oxygen on the left which should have been 61

yea your right it should have been 61 sry 122 is the total it has to be…I hate stupid mistakes like that lol
