I was telling a guy I like a few of my problems, that make me want to cry, and all he says is.

Wow, I’m sorry. my brothers birthday was today..

That was a long way to fall…

Not unusual at all, sweetie. Most people try to ignore the “real” stuff since it tends to make them feel uncomfortable. I bet he can sympathize with something you said though. We’re all human after all… Same capacity for emotion and whatnot….

I’m sure he didn’t know how to respond. It’s hard to comfort someone when you don’t know what to say. Look at it this way, he was probably trying to change subject so you wouldn’t feel bad. He just went about it the wrong way.

No, normally he’s not like that..

Normally, he would’ve said something more to me.. rather than changing the subject.

Look at it this way.. Sometimes cute people are stupid, or just bad at handling emotional situations. He’s probably kicking himself now for not knowing what to say.
