Yes, it can still cut you, but it’s not as likely to, because it shatters very, very easily into small peices. Anything foreign to your eyes can be harmful, so, no, the dust wouldn’t be good.

Candy glass can cut you, but due to its nature and properites, it is unlikely, that is why it is used.
