Please help me!

!! Right now I am working on a project that is due in an hour. I woke up early to work on it. I am not going to be done!! I am supposed to present it so that I can turn my whole unit in on Thursday. I honestly am so stressed that I can’t even think. It is a really good topic that I am working on. I haven’t been able to work on it because of my depression/headaches. Also, last night I was really upset because all I could think about was my dad’s birthday (he died almost three years ago). Right now I just really want to hurt myself or die. I wouldn’t kill myself, but I really am freaking out now. I don’t know how in the heck I am going to be able to handle all of this. This is our last week of classes too.

I am still working on it. I am just freaking because it took me two hours to make one lesson plan and I still have to make at least 4 more. Plus I have to make activities to go with the lessons. One I don’t even know really what to do. I am working on it right now tho.

take a deep breath, and get your thoughts together. whatever you have been doing thru this class, it can work again. this site probably will not serve you well right now, though. you have limited time.

How so?

I honestly will not be done. I am so sick of this depression. It has set me back so much. I am even more overwhelmed with other classwork as well. Sometimes I have the motivation to get it done, but that can quickly change, and it’s hard to kick me out of that mode. I really can get it done, but not in the time needed. I don’t want this to set off an anxiety attack.

Don’t think about the whole project; break it down into units and tackle the most pressing first. It’s also helpful not to think of consequences–rather direct your attention to the task at hand. Finally, if you don’t get everything done, try to negotiate an extension with your professor. If this doesn’t work, turn in what you have for at least partial credit and work harder on the next project.
