I am in search of funds because my husband lost his

job a few months ago but has since started working again but we have gotten so far behind on our mortgage, almost $3000 behind. Our credit stops us from being approved for loans I need help desperately and I have only been in my new home for 2 years and it is thorugh habitat for humanity. I have called 211 for help and there is no funds available or I do not qualify because of my credit history. We have three children and I have put so much into this home already I don’t want to lose it. Please, Please HELP! Anyone. I don’t want to go through a foreclosure and lose my home.

You won’t find financial help here, sorry.I’m the same as far as bad credit history and I too am paying for my irresponsibility made in my past:/ But if you want to talk about it we are here for you

I would talk to the mortgage company and see if there is anything that you can do to negotiate the amount due.

If your credit is bad but NOT horrible, you might be able to get a 0% credit card and pay for things with that, and use the income you have to pay towards the mortgage. Just be sure to AT LEAST pay the minimum balances on the credit card so you don’t also further build negative credit.

I would also look into grants as it’s the end of the year and what you apply for now, is towards grants in 2009.

Are you working, can you get a part time job? I know—it’s hard, but even some amount of income might help to alleviate your current financial bind.
