Talk to your doctor and to the police. See if there is a grief counselor available for you to talk to. You should at least be allowed to do that.

I’m sorry to hear you’re in pain and anguish, but why would you be seeking compensation?
you were a witness to the accident.
you were not a victim.
I think you should get grief counseling as mentioned above, and lose the thoughts that you’re somehow entitled to a monetary award.

incredible.

I see your point, girls, I really do. And I also don’t think he should be entitled to any financial compensation either but the trauma of being a witness to a child dying would no doubt have an effect on anybody. The rider should be given a chance to grieve properly.

how did we survive until the 20th century, witnessing accidents and horrific acts, without grief counseling?

Do you think people who watched people jumping out of the windows from the Twin Towers also be compensated?

I don’t happen to agree with trying to get compensation but I can only imagine what a horrible experience that was.

You need to move on and stop thinking that just because you seen something bad that someone should be giving you money. Get over it, your not entitled to any compensation of any kind. Hope this helps :-)

OK wait one minute here, she does have a valid claim! sorry folks. whiplash when her head was jerked back and forth when the car came in contact with the child. if she is suffering back pain and headaches then she does have a claim and should see a doctor. These things can show up weeks after an event. if she is suffering she needs to get a doctor first and then see a lawyer with bills in hand, then she will have a different outcome.
