is glass “dust” more harmful to the eyes than other kinds of dust and particles found in your home?

and if you get piece of glass dust in your eye will it just work it way out i think i got a piece in my eye last night and rinsed the eye but my eye still hurts and i cant tell if its still in there or if its just scratched now help!!

Yes, fiber glass has many warnings on it and safety precautions such as eyewear and gloves should be worn when in contact with this material.

There may be a particle that you cannot see in there. Go to an ER or doctor soon. It is possible what you’re feeling is just a scratch on your cornea, but better safe than sorry. Those are the only eyes you have!

I would think so..since its still glass. But any dust can scratch your cornea but I would think glass would be more painful and dangerous then regular ol’ dust.

Call a doctor, we cannot give you medical advice because…well we dont have a doctorate. BTW…as bad as your eye is I would also worry about your lungs. Glass can tear up your lungs and cause all sorts of trouble.

if your eye is bleeding or hurts really bad you should call a doctor. does it hurt when you blink?

i beleive i got glass “dust” in my eye, went to the doctors, they couldnt find any glass in my eye, got an x-ray and my results well be back in 3-5 days, i alreayd had it in their for 2 days and it really hurts. is their anything i can do to releive the pain and/or remove the glass. i tried flushing my eye many times and nothing, hurts when i blink and move my eye.
