Well what have you read? What do you know about it?
yea but i just need to know the importance like i know that it started the winlderness campaign but thee is something else but idk what it is.
Well the significance lies in the outcome of the battle tactically and strategically, and Grants reaction to both of these. Also consider how Grant’s strategies differed from those of his predecessors, and what that meant in terms of ending the war.
ok well what was the outcome?
Wiki it…or better yet go to the library! Answers don’t just fall into your lap. I’m more than happy to discuss your interpretation here–what you think and why…but if you don’t even know the outcome there is little I can do.
you can just tell me the outcome (:. there is no time for the library and wikipedia said the same exact thing you said and i don’t really understand what it meant which is why i asked the help community.
1.) Who lost the battle (who took the most casualties and who withdrew from the battlefield)?
2.) What did each army do after that?
well neither side really won. so it was a draw.
Yes, sorta…keep going. In what way was it a draw? Grant took more casualties did he not? And he withdrew from the field…So what did Grant do after the battle that made this one so different from the battles of the predecessors?
i. don’t. know.
