Why are men so hard to buy for?
My boyfriend and I are coming up for our 4th anniversary soon and I have no idea what to get him!
He often buys me jewellery for special occasions and I’d like to get him something equivalent.
I know a watch would be good but I have a slight superstition about that (every couple I know that exchanged a watch as a gift broke up shortly after) although I know it’s silly.
I always end up being completely unoriginal eg book/cd/shirt etc or waaay too original and buy something stupid.
HELP!

OMG - I agree! Why are they so hard to buy for? So guys, tell us! What would you want?
Men are evil. Thats the conclusion Ive come up with.
What sort of original ideas have you tried? I cant help much, as I dont know your history, or your guy. But try thinking of a song or phrase you both use to use. You could think up something to do with that.
Um… why not ask? Like… ask the guy you’re buying for.
lol That doesnt work. Guys lie or they’ll say they dont want anything.
Get him a chainsaw, everyone loves powerful tools they would kill themselves with accidentally.
Haha yeah he always does the “you don’t need to get me anything” line. So one time I didn’t, just to see what he’d do. I pretended that he didn’t mind but I knew he wasn’t pleased!
I once got him a signed photo of his hero which is probably the best thing, other more stupid presents included an engraved trophy.
i must say that we are not “all” evil. but, like xeno said, asking is a good way to start and if your guy says he doesn’t want anything, chances are that a nice time spent doing something you both like (movies, dinner, sight-see, etc.) while enjoying each others company would be a good idea
Get him a GPS, allow him to know his exact Latitude and longitude at any moment! How neat is that!
or a chainsaw with a built in GPS. that way he can go run through the woods, cutting down trees and never have to worry about getting lost.

Get him a date with Chuck Norris.

Yeah! And get him a flamethrower too!

Dont forget the GPS.
And a jeep.
how about a chainsaw with a GPS that he takes on his date with Chuck Norris. while they’re on their date, zombies attack and him and Chuck Norris have to fight for their lives
hmm some how i think everyone has drifted off the subject. just a bit at least.
Maybe I should just print out this page and see what he thinks of your suggestions!

No no no. Weve come up with the perfect male gift.
hmm true i wouldn’t mind a combination of a “Automatic-shotgun-with-machine-gun-rocket-launcher-zombie-kill.” with a GPS and a jeep.

sounds good to me. plus he might even keel over from laughing at these ideas. lol

You forgot the best part Daksha. The date with Chuck Norris.
forgive me for surely that is the greatest affront to all manhood. forgetting the date with Chuck Norris. i beg for my death for such a mistake.
And don’t forget what started it all - the chainsaw!
So, we have the automatic shotgun/chainsaw with machine gun rocket launcher zombie killer with the GPS attachment in a jeep with Chuck Norris sitting in the passenger seat!
Wonder if this item is included in the free super saver shipping deal on Amazon.com?

no sarcasm intended. Chuck Norris decided to use my last name in Walker, Texas Ranger. and i’m not kidding lol
I always try to pick a unique and special gift for my friends and loved ones. I found this great site — http://my-song.ca/s/ano1! You go on and make a personalized song — I did it for my husband’s anniversary gift. I had a great time putting the song together. It’s completely personalized, and so cute! It’s something I know he won’t forget for a long time. Great site, thanks for the ideas!
