Hello, While it may be somewhat true that God helps those who help themselves, this is not scriptural…( Do not mean to make this an argument, Just want to reasure you if you are of the God fearing folk)
Anyway, You are not alone, and the best thing you can do is try to keep yourself stress free. There will always be bills and the best thing you can do is to make arrangements with your creditors to even make a small payment if you can’t make the monthly amount.
Try to make a budget for a few months ahead and try to save where you can. Many of us have gotten used to buying items such as brand names, but honestly, just because something is of expense doesn’t mean it’s always better.
I shop at the thrift store, and you can get some bargains you have to weed through, but honestly babies grow so quickly that you may find that instead of purchasing brand new, you can find deals at baby consignment stores, and clothes for yourself maternity clothes aren’t cheap and you will find some nice items because they are not worn out… you can find toys in this manner too!
I am not sure where you are but we have a what we call scratch and dent… it’s a store that sells dented cans and squished but not broken boxes of food such as cereals at a discounted price because the major stores won’t put these items on thier shelves.
Hun my family and I are feeling the pinch too… you are going to make it…
find some deep breathing and relaxation techniques… is there something you can do to add alittle bit extra money into the home? Making crafts, or jewlery? Are you working or going on maternity leave?
When my twins were born… money was so tight that we only had twenty dollars for the whole month! but somehow we managed… the bank was threatening to foreclose on our house… and when I was a single mom, the hot water tank began to leak, I couldn’t afford to fix it… we were without hot water for two months… I had to boil water for the tubs ( I had three children at the time to look after) Then when I got the hot water tank fixed, the heat was shut off… good thing it wasn’t during winter… I sold the house soon after that…I honestly don’t know how we survived but 15 years later… we’re all okay…
You do what you can, and you come by it honestly. If you need to chat, I’m always a shout away.
