just quietly unplug or turn off the modem (you’re playing on the internet I assume) She might not even know what hit her except she can’t access webpages. She’ll leave all frustrated. You then turn the modem back on… reboot… and away you go :)

But the computer will break

it shouldn’t break… is the modem outside the computer… or inside the computer - do you know?

At school, if someone wanted to make sure a computer was available when they wanted it, they unplugged the network cable and left a “This computer is down” sign on it. When they needed it, the removed the sign and put the cable back in.

No one used it when they couldn’t.

No pimp slapping. It is a bad idea. Taking out the network cable breaks nothing. It just clips into the back. If you dont know what you are doing, it is best to leave it. Perhaps create a roster for the computer, or get a timer.

I think your parents need to take control of the situation.

Pretty bad when you have to resort to help.com to fix such a childish problem.
