I am a single mother of 3 who desperately needs help with Christmas.

I got laid off at the end of October, and am not able to buy anything for my kids.
I am thinking about telling them that we are not having Christmas this year, as there is no money for it.

There are alot of places that help with that kind of thing. My step mother used to do it when I was little for myself my brother and step sister. I dont remember what its called. But you have the kids fill out a wish list and you return it to them. Its like a donation sort of thing. But anyways, the fill it out and normally, the send you the presents, or you go pick them up or however. There are also alot of donating shelters. Like the lydia house or places like that.

I live in a small town in Ohio. I have already been to the local church for help, but they will not promise any help. There are to many people needing help in the community, and it is on a first come first serve basis

I am in the same situation as you are! I am in Real Estate, trying to start a business, a single mother of 3 and broke! I do have a big heart though and love to help people when I can and even when I can’t!!! I also do not know what I am going to do for my children for Christmas! I am way to humble to ask for any help, but I do admire people who do!
Please let me know the ages and gender of your children. I will try to help! Best of luck to you and remember that these challenges in life are to remind us of how strong we really are! Things always seam to work out!!!

The kids are 9, 13, and 15. I to like to help people in need. But right now I have nothing to give. I wish I could because I know there are a lot of kids who are going to go without this Christmas. I think they should change the income tax times and have it in November instead of January. That would really boost the economy.

You don’t need presents to have a Christmas. Do you know of Dr. Suess’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas? It turned out the Grinch couldn’t steal Christmas after all! But if presents are very important to you, I know the Salvation Army has a program where people can donate goods and the Salvation Army gives them to families in need. I don’t have much information in this realm, so just trying calling the Salvation Army and seeing what information you can get. But remember, you don’t need presents to have a happy holiday.
