Need Help w/ Early Life Career Crisis!

I’m a 24 yr-old professional. I have a good job (Sys Admin). I own a very nice house. My fiancee and I have discussed having children after we Marry. I have a concern though. You see, I’m good at my job and all my life technology has come naturally to me. But I have this horrible feeling that this isn’t what I really want (or am supposed) to do. I almost feel like my job should be my hobby (Because I still love computers) and that I should find a different job. I’m not sure exactly what that job is, but my gut keeps telling me that this isn’t where I’m supposed to be (career-wise).

But I’m at a point in my life, fiancee, house, potential kids on the way. I feel like my doors to change have all closed and I’m afraid that I am going to get stuck in a career that I just don’t want. I realize that sometimes in life we must suck it up and punch through the rough times. But I also don’t want to be that 40yr old man who runs away from his family because he trapped himself.

Does anyone have any guidance? Counseling? Advice? I’m specifically looking for advice from those of you who have been in my shoes… from those of you who know how it is to feel like you should be doing something else in your life or career.

Thanks for your words of wisdom.
