Hi RisingHearts, There is someone better at this than I and she will hopefully jump in. What your asking for is easy to do but lengthy to explain. Sounds to me like you are jumping ahead in your quest for theory. You say “note” but don’t you mean chord? If you are studying from a book and it doesn’t have those answers you really need to find a more in depth book. It is all about making one or more of the notes a half step lower but you need to understand a triad construction first. Respond again if you want the long version. Lots of Luck,
