NN’s beginning to mimic one of the crucial aspects of AI, intuitiveness. Still, there’s a massive difference between a powerful computer beating a human at chess or “learning” simple functions, and a computer that can comprehend, interpret and intuit enough to capably process basic conversation, much less boldly enter the world of comprehension/perception and consciousness. Progress will likely remain slow, just as it has been for voice recognition, limited by processing speed and complexity of the coding required.
