In today’s society a college degree really is necessary for a successful career. Is there something specific that you don’t like about it, or is it just college in general?

Nah I’m only 17 but I’ll be going next year. You could try talking to a close friend, counselor, or parent. Maybe there’s something you could do on campus, like join a club, that will help you to enjoy it more.

There are plenty of jobs that you can get without a college degree. Remember less then 35% of americans have a college degree. It is one option for a chance at success. If college is not for you, look for a job that has some sort of alternative training. Plumbers and electricians can make pretty good money, and it is hard to lose those jobs to people overseas. You can also look into sales, if you have the ability to sale insurance or annuities or real estate, you don’t need a degree, you only need training and a license. There are opportunities for people that do not have a degree, you just have to look for them.

Stick to college. I think it’s good to have a degree you can always fall back on. Not everyone has the opportunity to got to college, so you being given with that privelege should make the most out of it.

Did you like college before? If yes, maybe you just got burned out… It’s like a slack-time…like you’re just sick and tired of it right now…but this is deifinitely a temporary feeling. It will go away and you’ll be enjoying college again.

Hang in there. Feeling sometimes that you’re not learning anything useful in life is a normal feeling for students. Students get that every now and then. This is because when you’re still a student, you couldn’t always see the logic behind why the professors are teaching you those stuff. As you go along, you’ll start to see the logic and importance behind the lectures. And when you work, take the bar, or board exam, face the world of work, you’d realize that everything you learned in college, though at that time seemed pointless, really was worth the study. Most of the times, it’s only when you get to use that knowledge or skill, will you then be able to recognize it’s usefullness.

Are you pressured too much in college?
