I am a single mother of 3 boys and I struggle everyday and latey I have been very stressed out about Christams I have no money for gifts for my kids anyway I have boyfriend and he could care less he also has kids and his kids go without NOTHING he lives with his mother and she takes care of everything I live on my own and do it all by myself and it drives me crazy that he does not care he says my kids are old enough to understand but I can’t let them waks to nothing under the tree that would be devestaing how do I get him to care?

you cant really teach someone empathy. Its something they learn on thier own. You could try guilt tripping.
