I’m a navy brat

i’ve lived in england, sicily and i’ve recently moved to the states from japan.
In one of my classes, the kids make fun of me
they tell me that i think i’m better than them because i’m from japan.
They want to fight me because they want to see if i know karate. I personally, think it’s completely ignorant and the teachers don’t help at all.
My mom is still in Japan and I live with my aunt but lately i’ve been wanting to move back. I don’t know why I wanted to to move here so badly but i’m sick of america or at least the people here and i want to go back to Japan.

But in the mean time what do I do about these kids?

I know how youre feeling. My dad was in the Navy. He retired long before I was born though, but as a result, he got a lot of job offers over seas. When I was 10 I moved to Saudi Arabia and then to UAE, and traveled to a lot of different countries. Personally, I dont tell people where I lived, or where Ive visited b/c they think the same things those kids are telling you.

If its to late for you not to tell people, just ignore them. You know youre not better than them. They just dont know what else to say, b/c chances are, theyre jealous. Is moving back to Japan an option for you?

I moved to the US in high school, IT WAS HORRIBLE. Now that Im at school (University) is WAAAYYYY better (pretty much all the nasty mean people have grown up, or it is easier to not having to deal with douchebaggery…….

Just ignore them, they will only give you trouble if you dont.

(you are what you make yourself to be)
