Hi, it might be a better idea to just be your friendly self and say hello, and find out what he is in to. Then ask him to tell you about it and if you can, ask if he can help you or show you how to do it or what it is. Then if he does, he might find he likes you too. Find the common denominator that you two can share, so you can build a friendship on it. If he doesn’t respond, he might be shy, and you can try again another day.
But if he keeps not showing interest, at least you didn’t embarrass yourself with a note that he can show his friends!
