friends help: so i just hanged up the phone with my best friend and she was - Help.com

so i just hanged up the phone with my best friend and

she was telling this disturbing story about a 23 year old woman she just met, and i need help figuring out a way to help her out.
So here’s the thing, this woman got married about 3 years ago and she has 2 and a half year old boy with her husband, that decided to rent her an apartment to live in with her son because she didn’t want to stay in his parents’ house anymore, the thing is he walked out on her a week after, leaving her with no food, absolutly no money and nofurniture in the house except a marttress with no sheets on it, she now finds her self begging people for food so she can feed he baby, her son still plays with the same toy he played with when he was 8 months because that’s the only he has. and the judge only ordered her husband to pay 600 dollars a month for child support and that’s exactly what her rent is. Also he mother and sister in law tried to kidnap her son twice and failed. I mean i didn’t have the honor to meet this woman yet and my heart is already hurting for her and her son maybe it’s because my baby is the same age as hers and i can never imagine us going thru something this horrible. i would extremely appreciate it if anyone has any idea that they can share with me on how to help this poor lady and her son.
That’s the story of Mirna and Zein.

Thank you

I am a father of a two year old and I am just appauled that anyone could do such a thing to a child. There is a lot of help that the government provides. here in illinois we have LINK and ALLKIDS, and a few others. I would tell her to really check around. Get a lawyer and the police involved. Get everyone involved. Being silent and trying to do it herself won’t help. I will pray for her and her son.

Tell the woman to alert the authorities about the kidnapping attempts. Kidnapping is a serious threat. Also, I know some churches give away food and things to cook so you might try to advise her to go there. See if there are also any programs around your area that might also be helpful.

thank you so much for your answer
she already got an attorney thru soem people who wanted to help her, and they’re waiting for their trial. i just wanted to talk to someone about this because i felt really bad for her, especially that she can’t find anything to eat or drink, and they shut off her electricity cuz she couldn’t pay the bill, it just that my brain is refusing to accept that any kind of person whether it’s a woman or a man can do that to their own kids
