i hate writing ‘thank you letters’ !

It was my birthday a week ago, and after every birthday my parents make me write ‘Thank you letters’, to my relatives. They are just the most infuriating thing. And surely, now im 15, im a little old to be writing them?
grrr

it’s good to thanks people for what they have done for you. Think about how nice they will feel when they read them. Bet you get better gifts next year!

Biz And Laur have A good Point, I mena, They DID buy you gifts, so you SHOULD thank them.

Maybe ask your dad for a comprimise though, writting to much can get annoying, How about ask him if maybe you say thank you WHEN they give you the gifts, you dotn have to write letters anymore?

Yeah, but it lets people that try to do something for you feel like they helped in some way. It’s nice to show appreciation and makes people that did something for you feel they did good work in doing something that helps you, gives them a sense of meaning.

Anybody would feel appreciated to receive thank you letters. Most young people could not get the idea why as these are modern times now but proper etiquette never goes out of style.

I do understand how you feel, but if your parents are asking to do that then because of your love for them it will be easy for you to obey them, what do you think?
