Does anyone know what a ‘row’ means in periodic table?

8th grade science - I’ve got an assignment to make my own periodic table and I understand that a column represents similar characteristics, but I have no clue what a row means.

Thanks, but I already know what it is. I think I confused you. I don’t know what it serves for. When the elements are in the same row, what does it represent?

i think it was rows are similarities in chemical behavior, and columns were chemical property.
