Why do surveys need my phone number?

Every time I try to complete a survey for game rebel or w/e it asks for my phone number, and I don’t understand why they need to call me for a survey. Should I put my dads cell or home phone?

They say its so if they need to verify your respones. only put someone elses phone number if they say its ok, also only do surveys on websites u trust cause sometimes you will get on telemarketers list. 9 times out of 10 they never call.

so they can send your phone to third party websites and then you’ll start getting telemarketers calling you selling you something

never ever put your number on the internet, always use like the local library or make one up
