Last week on Monday I asked someone out, and they told

me they needed like a week of time, ’cause of some business with her -ex still liking her, but he hurt her last time, so she was confused. She told me to ask in another week, which would be on monday, but would it sound too desperate to ask again? I really like her, and don’t want to just be laughed at for sounding stupid and desperate.

yeah, I would just use some suggestive lines like:

“so it’s been a week”

or

“So have you given any thought to what I mentioned last week?”

In any case, I would stand strong and just talk to her.
