I do not have very many friends, and I feel very isolated and lonely.
Anyone living in NYC want to hang out?

Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
Hi, I can see that you are a new user on “help.” Welcome. There are many “regulars” here; and though I have not been on “help” for long, I am a die hard fan. It’s a great place to be :)
I am sure your intentions are totally honest Rover, but honestly, kinda scary you want to hang out in the real so quickly. Hang out with us here on Help.com. We would love to hang out.
I live in Brooklyn. I take the Subway. I work in Manhattan. What is to be afraid of?
But I am pathetic, I admit.
Well, whatever the case, welcome to help. You will find caring and empathetic people here.
I work in Citigroup operations in midtown, but I am a licensed acupuncturist who is not practicing.
I have to put my son to bed, thanks for posting.
So, do you like your current job or would you rather be an accupuncturist? How old is your son?
I know just how you feel. I have those days too. I get out and do something even if its just to go for a walk. My advice is get involved in an activity. Volunteer: there are many who are worse off than you and need your help.
Good advice, Seagull. It always helps to see that there are those worse off than yourself.
Hey, yeah I know. My son is 27 months, and I would love to waork again as an acupuncturist there just aren’t any jobs. They changed the billing laws here in ny about 4 years ago for no-fault and it killed it.
Awwww, what’s your son’s name? I have three kids, myself. They make life worth living, to be sure. :)
Its just that my life is always in a state of flux and it seems I can never put any roots down. His name is Alexander. I have a 1 year old daughter named Jasmine.
How sweet. I have a 7 year old named Baylen; a 6 year old named Madeline and a 3 year old named Bennett.
You have your hands full with those two toddlers….Jasmine just starting her toddler years.
Do you like the other job you have? The one that you mentioned in Citigroup?
Oh….and my life is constantly in a state of flux….so I know what you mean :)
Does your partner work? Maybe you could jiggle things so you can work part-time and can fit in a couple of hours. Is there any opportunity to work as a volunteer therapist somewhere? Try thinking outside of the box on that.
Yeah, I did all that Narcotics anonymous, probono stuff; what I need right now is money, I have about 90,000$ in student loans over my head, and its killing my marriage
Am I whining? I am good at that.
Ooooh, maybe you could work a bit of a part time job…or she could. I know it’s hard to do with kids that are as young as yours.
No, you’re not whining. I think that you are just looking for some solutions.
Is all the debt student loan debt? That’s a sh*t load of student loan debt. I don’t envy you at all.
Are you seeing a debt counsellor?
You guys are nice.
We specialise in nice!
LOL….welcome to “help!!” It’s easy to get hooked on this site. There are so many “familiar faces” now when I come on here. I love it. And mostly everyone is great/helpful/nice/friendly
Kind of takes all the air out of my angst
Well, “help,” believe it or not, is a calming place. When I come here in a “down” mood, I always feel better.
I don’t only come here when I am “down,” though…there are many times you can come on this site and just debate things. Or just have fun….
What is a shout?
A shout is almost like a message. It goes only to that user. here I will send you one.
cool, I got it.
I thought maybe it was like where you loose it and start screaming at everyone
