Good books!
Can anyone suggest something good to read? I’ve just started finding the time again and am enjoying “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” by Mark Haddon which is amazing.
I’m into any fiction really, maybe good biographies too. I’ve just mostly been reading academic stuff and pop science for the past while and need to escape reality a bit!

Ooh! I’ve read Curious Incident! It’s really good!
I like “The Catcher in the Rye” and “The Universe in a Nutshell”.
For pure escapism I read books by Clive Cussler
Sahara is a book (with a movie by the same name) that I would recommend by him.
The Twilight Saga by, Stephenie Meyer
Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
Breaking Dawn also by her are excellent books to read….
Oooh thanks for all the suggestions!
I will check out all your ideas and see if I can get hold of them (I’m in Hong Kong so it’s a small mission to get to a good book shop) or maybe Santa will bring some…
I’m sure if your good, Santa won’t forget your request lol…

Read the Bible! Let’s say one book from the Old Testament in one week….and then other succeeding books…then books from the New Testament.

No, let’s not get religion into this.
Dracula by Bram Stoker is an excellent read.

I don’t mean to be rude, but all those books are one series and they’re important to read in order. The Twilight Saga goes:
Twilight
New Moon
Eclipse
Breaking Dawn.
You need to include the Bible to make your readings complete. It is my prayer that as you read it…God will touch your life!

Oh, go boil an egg and your head, too. How about “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins?
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is fantatic. Other books I would recommend include Odd Thomas by Koontz (if you like reading in general), The Tennant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte (if you’re into classic novels), and A Test of Wills by Charles Todd (if you’re into mystery). Happy reading!
I suggest The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. It is basically historical fiction. It’s a romance too just to warn you, but they are very good.
Ummm….Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, you might not want to read that if you have been reading stuff for school.
Oh! A great infulential(sp?) book that I just read was called “The Shack.” by William Paul Young. It is a religious fiction *hides* but it really makes you think.
