my kids when they go out drinking do stuid things start fights , argue, etc .

then i get called at 2am or later to try to calm them down. i get chest pains from the stress .i myself drink once in a great while but get hungover after 3 beers thus my e-mail name. help before i drop over dead

I know you feel as if you HAVE to protect them at all times, but maybe you should tell them (if their over 16, if not they shouldnt drink anyways)

But, you should tell them “Im not dealing with it anymore, so either drink responsibly, or not at all” and when they call, tell them its not your problem, they’ll shappen up.

Tell ‘em to knock it off. Drinking affects people’s personalities. People change when they’re drunk. Turn off your phone ringer. Drunkenness leads to fights, accidents, affairs–you name it. If they’re old enough to drink, they’re old enough to take responsibility for their actions. Tell ‘em to put enough money to hire a taxi, and to start acting like adults. Otherwise, you’ll be their babysitter until they move into the nursing home in the room right beside yours.
