Ugly is a state of mind, if you don’t like the look of someone.. An Opinion..

Eating any animal is bad, you dolt. And Chickens, you pretty much said that it’s OK to kill someone if he/she isn’t “cute”. Sounds a lot like Hitler, enit?

Uhhh…this is a hard one. I do feel sorry for the puppies, but this, when you look at it closer, when it comes down to it, is a CULTURAL difference. Annoymous just has a different outlook on things than we do. I actually feel bad for annoymous because they are not getting helped.

I do, I understand. Eating puppy is just UNTHINKABLE! No, i never would, but to some people it is acceptable and a way of life. Some people may think it is UNTHINKABLE to eat a cow, pig, chicken, etc.

From what I can gather, it is a very healthy way to live, healthier than vegetarian. I am doing research on it for when I eventually switch. I’d prefer to consume no animal products, but I have to keep by that in all aspects of life rather than just food or else I am a hypocrite.

I dont doubt its healthy, it just all seems extreme. I mean, vegans dont eat eggs for example, right? But why? Its the circle of life.

Depends on the reason for the switch too. Most [chicken] eggs cant even gestate to chickens.

I’d still like to be vegan.

I once met someone who didnt eat meat or processed sugar. They were such a hippie :P

Once I can afford it, I will start removing meat from my diet and go from there.

I suppose you have a point. It’s just vegetarianism vs omnivorism can drum up some pretty strong opinions. Usually ending up with so called ‘intelligent’ people resorting to personal insults and arrogance to attempt to win an argument. I mean personally I don’t have a problem eating meat. There are quite a few kinds of animal that would have now qualms about eating me!

Many topics on this site attract very opinionated people. I think this is a great site for people to learn how to debate and have a conversation respectfully.

But humans can think for themselves; we don’t run on instinct. We CAN live without meat.

Yes but with health problems. We do need the proteins and others things present in meat as part of a balanced diet. In keeping with our omnivorus nature. You are right though we can survive without meat. But that means we have to eat plants. Even though as far as we can tell plants don’t feel pain we do know the react to stimuli. Light, touch, even sound. You still have to kill a plant to eat it, and that at the end of the day means you hve still had to take a life to maintain your own. I don’t think animals run purely on instinct either, having sat watching a cat work out how to open a door. That takes thought on a higher level than just pure instinct alone. There are alot of domestic animals alive now that simply would not exist if their meat was not needed. If they are kept in a humane manner, fed watered and sheltered then I feel ok about eating their meat. The alternative for these animals would be living in the wild, where the would face hunger and predation, being ripped limb from limb by lions or wolves. I feel as humans we should learn to respect living things. I’m not against meat but I respect your view.I think it comes down to personal choice.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t like the idea of killing either. but there are alot of things in this life that I do not like.
