I would like to buy a direct translation of the Holy Bible (both new and old testament).

I wouldn’t mind written or audio. Also, to clarify, I say direct meaning straight from Hebrew to English without alterations.
I’m going to leave the computer right not for a day or two, so I’ll check back when I am able.

There is no such thing available for the public so you won’t find a true translation “straight” from Hebrew. There were Aramaic scroll writers whose writings have nothing to do with Bible. The Bible you are looking for was altered over the centuries from texts that were wrongfully translated from Aramaic to Greek, etc. There is no such thing as a “straight translation from Hebrew to English without alterations”. Good luck in your search.

I am using NIV version of the Bible. I’ll just try to research on that and then I’ll inform you when I have the answer.

If there is no strait translations, then I guess I’ll just have to learn Hebrew, now won’t I.

I tried to recall and asked a Pastor about the direct translation of both the Old and the New Testament of the Bible and is the “King James Version.”

I’m not sure what you believe in: Christianity & denomination or Catholic or any other religions! But I would like for you to email me for all the advice and questions you have!!!

I have several resources, from bookstores, online bookstores to unanswered questions in the bible/answers you’ve found and then feel like your foreign to what God was meaning!!LOL

(Answers even on birthcontrol,tubetying,smoking,drinking,demons,ghosts,depression,
anti-deppressant usage,ect…”You name it,I can find it”!!HAHA)

So give me an email back, if you still need help on this or any other questions and spiritual advice!!!

God Bless,
EAS

Try searching the Lord’s Prayer in Spanish.
You will end up with at least ten different Spanish versions, all translated from the same English. This is because all languages are extremely different.

Go ahead and learn Hebrew, that’s great. But if you then turn to read the Old Testament (the part of the Bible written in Hebrew; the rest was written in Greek, which I guess you’d also have to learn), you will find that you will not be able to find perfect English words for everything.

BUT: the New American Standard or English Standard Version are both /literal/ translations that I would HIGHLY recommend. If you get an exaustive concordance (or download E-Sword, which is free), you will be able to pick out any word in the English, and find out all about the ancient word behind it.

Hope that helps :)

As far as I know, the Old King James Version of the Bible is the best translation. Try to access the website of the Bible.com….it has the old version of King James.
