Hi,

I am a 25 year old female and in April of this year, my mum passed away. It would have been my Mum and dads wedding anniversary this Friday.
I dont know what I should do for / say to my dad.
He is not one for talking but I would like to do something to show that I havnt forgotten, and that I know it will be a hard day. Can anyone advise. I dont know what to do.

Why not get a really nice frame and picture of your parents and put it into that or something…

“Love is short, but forgetting is long.”

“Trying to forget someone you love is like trying to remember someone you never met.”

If you have brother and sisters, get together with your dad, spend some time with him, let him know you love him, and miss her.

Just telling him in person or in a card that you love him says so much. I lost my mom in 2004 and it still hurts. But when my siblings call me it feels better.

Thanks All.
We have decided to scatter my mums ashes. Myself, my brother and my dad will be there. As I mentioned before, none of us are really that good at talking. Anyone know of a ritual / gesture we could do at the scattering (apart from the scattering itself) instead of a reading / poem?
We are doing it in my mum and dads garden- they have lots of flowers and trees, and it is where my mum loved to be.
