Im going to new york for the first time for a weekend in january BY MYSELF, any suggestions on what to do?

I dont know anybody in new york. my work will only give me 4 days off in a row, and none of my friends want to go with me, so i decided to go by myself and have a blast. but i need recommendtations…

It’s a strange place to be, even at night. I’d suggest sightseeing first of all. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money, I’d recommend straying from high quality Broadway shows (though they are awesome).

Also, see if you tour the Library of Congress, or look out from the top of the Empire State Building. It’s very windy up there!

See a show on Broadway, if roasted chestnuts on the street corners are still there-grab some, visit Central Park, try to get tickets to Saturday Night Live or some other show. I’m sure some people will have some really great suggestions.

national history museum, top of the rock (rockerfeller centre), ground zero, revolving restaurant at top of marriott hotel on times square, toys r us, walk across the brooklyn bridge, bus tour, go to a broadway show, go to see a conan o’brien show, stroll in central park…….:) i’m jealous :(

Try to visit the madame tousseaud museum at 42 street. And then do not miss the subways atractions such a lot of guys dancing down in the subawys stations. 14 ****. Union Squared; 42 Gran Centra and 42 times squared. and a lot more. I know there’s a lot to enjoy. Enjoy yourself.
