As far as the hardcore/screamy/yelling stuff, I don’t get into it much.

However, there are a couple bands I’ll recommend. Austrian Death Machine, Dir En Grey, and Maximum the Hormone.

Dir en Grey is great.
But the guy I’m making the mixed CD for isn’t into sappy songs or country/slow songs.

Well, there’s a lot out there besides “sappy songs or country/slow songs”.

There’s Goth, Punk, twenty nine types of Rock, Techno/Trance/House music, and tons of foreign stuff. Deathstars, Zeromancer, Bad Religion, The Misfits, Voltaire, She Wants Revenge, Temposhark, Get Set Go…

The list goes on and on.

Emilie Autumn is kind of strange, but I can dig it.

Apoptygma Berzerk has a very cool sound that I don’t see from many people.

The Rasmus is interesting. I don’t listen to them much anymore, but I think it’s just because I overplayed their songs way too many times.

Dragonforce is a novelty, really, but good now and then.

Lol, I know a small-time artist pretty well named 2 the Ranting Gryphon. He’s more of a comedian now, and most of his songs aren’t anything worth an award or anything, but there’s a few that are really f**king cool. He wrote a death metal song about a bunny called, “March of Doom”. Like all his other songs, he sings, arranges everything, writes the song, and plays all the instruments.

Oh, KMFDM!

And… Out of Your Mouth. They’re pretty cool, too.

Songs about liking someone…..psh. Those boil my blood. Gets me made to hear people listen to it cause it’s like “U pansy, u actually have had a girlfriend, live with it/guy friend.” I suggest some Edguy and Avantasia, and dragonforce. Jump to ashleyy
