How come norms are the way they are, and how come violating them is bad when making the original norms was breaking the ones before that?

A way to live had to start somewhere….why is that way any better than a new one.

I’m not outside the norm…and my pants are fully buttoned….I’m just open to change….i am comparing the actions of anyone that is mocked, to that of “normal”…what is sad is your generality of anyone different as “annoying” or “ignorant and immature.”

you wrote that i was annoying because i might be “outside the norm”..and called me immature with representation of a child pulling their pants down in public…that is GENERALIZATION…please understand what you say before you write it..you would not seem ignorant your self

Disposing of unwanted babies in a refuse pile used to be normal in pre biblical times. humanity evolves I think but not always for the better

the generalization was in the conclusion of “if you are being ridiculed by people”..you created the conclusion with your opinion…which is a generalization

as to the original question, breaking norms is not necessarily a bad thing. it creates change which can be for the better.

not everyone is great at spelling or grammar, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t entitled to an opinion.

i never said he wasn’t allowed an opinion…the fact that he lied about ever having one is the problem…

it’s hard to do when you keep changing what you said…stick to a story and we might understand you

right. well it’s often difficult to accurately convey your thoughts through the internet, so how about if everyone has a bit of patience.

i just wanted a conversation on comparing the differences of everyday life of now and whenever in history….the norms….this guy barged in and stated that being different “could” be considered just weird or immature….he gave no other opinion so i took that one as his own.

i know, its weird. . . i make pretty **** good grades in my college classes (honors btw). . .and i dont see how i could if i really am so unclear when i write. i have to wonder what the heck is wrong with my instructors. . . so for sanitys sake i have to assume the poster is being a little stupid. im not saying that he IS stupid just maybe needs some coffee or a red bull. we all have our off-days. OR he just wants to pick a fight. which is cool cause i have homework and maybe my absence will get this post back on track.

don’t blame your instructors for your lack of clarity… and i agree with the original poster. either cite your sources or your posts will be interpreted as your own ideas. i don’t quite understand what you’re trying to get at either, and i also make good grades in my college courses, if that means anything to you.

you didn’t say “people”..you said “i”
i said you were ignorant because you changed your story…in any case leads me to think that you don’t understand what you are debating….
i never once said you were correct.

i wouldn’t lie about anything as idiotic as your opinion
