Hang in there. When I was feeling like that I eventually went to the hospital because I didn’t know where else to turn. I’ll admit for some strange reason that I don’t know it was really difficult for me to go in and try to explain I was in outpatients because I was feeling really down. The nurse didn’t give me a funny look or anything, just took my info and gave me a number. My turn came to see the only doctor working there at the time, and despite having a room full of other patients waiting for her, she just sat with me and talked for almost an hour. She convinced me to stay at the hospital and I was there for about a week (I was free to check out any time too).
They had all sorts of doctors and psychiatrists checking on me and although I didn’t think they fully understood what I was going through it was comforting to know they were so willing to help. Also since I’m so bad at talking to friends and family about that kind of stuff, being there alerted those close to me about my depression.
Every situation is unique, and so are you, but things can get better, specially since you’re so young!
Okay, you have a fair reason for feeling bad but I would say to you that your son needs you. I would also seriously consider getting a pregnancy test and if you are comfortable with the idea, and abortion.
And don’t worry about it. I know it’s easier.
Well why do you think that you are responsible for what happened to your mother?
Oh, ****. You were young, you didn’t realise the consequences of your actions. I think you are bound to blame yourself. I blamed myself after my father attempted suicide, I was the last person to see him but in the end it was only a young mistake or two. Have you had councelling at all during your life?
I hated it too. They are patronising. Would you ever consider talking to any one who isn’t on help about this?

I can’t imagine how difficult that must have been for you. I wish I knew what to say to make it all better, but I don’t think i’m qualified. I’ll read if you want to keep talking about it though.
Sorry, I’ve gotta go now. Leave me a lovely long shout or post to this and i’ll answer it tomorrow morning.

It’s not your fault.
It isn’t…
But well, what’s done it’s done, and we need to learn to live with our pasts, since it’s from where we come from…there aren’t many other things to do =P

Ever notice how the threads on this website go idle really fast? Using fake info, I poured my heart out in hopes to get some help. All I got were a few uncreative ideas I had already considered, and a promise for a nice big reply with someone’s thoughts on the subject, with no reply :( . I’m a noob to this website, but I can see there’s a constant flow of new threads so it’s probably rare that people take the time to browse posts that aren’t on the front page.
So I thought I’d share that…I know it’s not directly related to this thread, sorry.
You holding up ok?
