Some time in the 1970s forget exactly the date, but

a nuclear accident occured and killed a few hundred of a farmers cattle in midwest USA, the gov’t covered it up and it was exposed after a number of years, if they hid this back in 1970s, what could they possibly be capable of hiding now?
