There are many reasons for this.
You’re a procrastinator. You’re lazy. You hate studying. You don’t feel a need to study. You believe there are better things than studying that should be done first.
All of that describes me. There’s always something to distract you from doing school work. Sometimes you have to force yourself to do it…
To the poster:
Get out in the fresh air and do some exercise.
Get your homework out of the way so you can relax tonight.
Set up a club.
Go find friends to talk to.
Go to the library and find a book on something you never knew about.. read up and astound your friends with your knowledge of Giant African Snails, Indo-Chinese history or Star Trek Convention Rules…
If procrastination is taking over, set yourself smaller targets. Say “I will do ten minutes planning on my project” rather than “gotta do my project”. Force yourself to achieve that smaller target. When you do, you get a sense of success which spurs you on to the next one.
Line up some rewards for each target you achieve. A piece of chocolate, a call to a friend, a soak in the bath,.. whatever.

Everyone of those describe me except the you dont feel a need to study. Im a person who HAS to study long and hard in order to comprehend things and i get too distracted (like now) to put so much energy into it. When i study i still get c’s :(
*Sorry poster im just bored well have a lot on my mind :(
The reason I added *you don’t feel a need to study* follows what you said about getting C’s even though you study.
I never liked studying for an exam for days and hours and missing out on other things…and then getting a poor score. Kind of deters me from studying the next time. What’s the point? I always wonder.
I guess trying a new studying method would help in that case.
Yea i just dont know how any study tips other than flash cards and making questions out of paragraphs you read in chapters. But i still get C’s
Maybe you have better listening skills than visual so by asking a friend or family member to ask you study questions outloud, you’ll be able to remember them better
OMG! Lol you are so right when i go over something and have him (the guy im talking about in my post) ask me questions i tend to remember when i go back over the notes or take the test. But i have to study the notes first of course because he would just be asking me questions and getting no response lol. How do i do that with every subject?
Read. Learn to spell. Books won’t really bite; it’s just a rumor.
bored
what
you’re
It’s not that hard.

Maybe you could get a voice recorder and record yourself reading what you need to study. Then play that instead of music in your ear phones or whenever you get a chance.
I used to study in the shower, too. That always helped me for some reason. I would put plastic sheets over my notes and stick them to the shower walls.
Finding what works best for you is key!
