Love help: Okay, I’m a college graduate and I think I’m in love with my former prof. - Help.com

Okay, I’m a college graduate and I think I’m in love with my former prof.

I had him for quite a few classes and we’ve kept in touch pretty frequently, especially last summer.

When we talk he always looks me right in the eye and sometimes blushes like he’s embarrassed. He kids around a lot with me and we make each other laugh out loud. We email frequently and have started talking on the phone. He asked me if I was coming home for thanksgiving and I said no, I’m coming home for christmas. He then said we should get together sometime for lunch. Just out of the clear blue like that, which was really odd cause he’s always been a pretty quiet, reserved person.

I’ve had a crush on him even when I was still a student, but now I just cannot stop thinking about him. I don’t have a bf and he’s not married or with someone. I’m guessing he’s twice my age. Is there anyway that he has feelings for me?

It is possible that he does have feelings for you. I guess at this point you would be the best judge of that.
Just don’t give your hopes up and be careful, I’ve seen many gals get burned on this…

This is so sweet! My mother married her professor! They’ve been together for almost 21 years! You can find love anywhere.

Possibly. But he also knows that universities frown on these kinds of relationships, even if you are no longer a student. Hmmmm. Twice your age? I’ve known it to work. It’s not impossible . . . just look at Black Rabbit above! ;-)

P.S. Did you write “LOVE YOU” on your eyelids like one of Dr. Indiana Jones’ female students? ;-)

There’s no reason he shouldn’t. Your age should be a problem as you are both adults, after all. Best of luck :)
