college help.

I will try to make myself clearer than previous posts. I am in my fourth year of barely scraping through college. i have about 60-70 credits and a 1.98 gpa. i intend to go to grad school, but i know that no one will accept me like this. i am unhappy with my current university, but have not tried to transfer because of my poor grades. i want to be able to attend a school somewhere else (perhaps after a year or two of community college, i dont know if thats still possible in my situation) and be able to get a degree in good standing at a good university so that i can go on to graduate school. Im wondering if anyone knows how i would go about it logistically, considering that i have so many credits and very poor grades. Thanks!

Hmmmm . . . another post.

OK, I will reply to this one . . .

So, if you have excellent study habits, why is your GPA below 2.0?

And why do you THINK you are psychologically a wreck?

As stated in the other post, I am not being judgmental. I’ve been a professor, and I’ve helped some students get turned around. But I’ve lost my arrogance in thinking that everyone can be turned around with a little motivational talk. Some can, and some cannot or will not.

I’m not much of a believer, however, in “cannot.”

It sounds like you already have somewhat of a plan. Go to a community college to get your gpa up a bit. Do the math to figure out how many credits you will need to get to your “goal gpa”. Then apply for a transfer to another 4-year university. I can’t imagine there could be any other way, other than maybe bribing an someone on the admissions board ;) What field do you want to go to grad school in?
