lost help: I have been dieting since August. - Help.com

I have been dieting since August.

I’ve lost around 7 pounds already. I need to lose 8 pounds more. The problem now is that I’m too burned out and frustrated to diet further. I’m losing my grip…and my determination to lose weight. Somebody please encourage me or tell me how to encourage myself and stick to my diet.

Thanks ahead for your replies.

You are doing a real good job. Keep up the good work because you are over halfway there to your goal and you don’t want to give up now.

Our brains are always looking for pleasure and the easy way out of everything. The minute the brain is called upon to do something strenuous, lose weight, quit smoking, start exercising, etc. it calls up over 1 million reasons (at least) why we should stop doing what we are doing.

What you are going through is what I called the great wall. It’s like the athletics in the Olympics. They start swimming or running and hit this great wall of fatique. Do they stop and quit, no they find the will to see the job through.

I have been trying to lose for a couple of years now. I had lost 28 pounds on the South Beach Diet and I didn’t gain but 12 pounds of it back.

So I say to myself, at the very least, I maintained my weight gain. I didn’t gain anymore and stayed at the weight I am for many months. I work out for six days a week and I haven’t lost a pound in 3 months. But, everyone says I look like I am losing.

So I try not to be a slave to the scale and now I look at how I look to myself. I couldn’t care less if I am shape what weight I was. Because I know that no matter what I dressed up in I would look great and that’s what its all about.

Good luck to you and I think you are doing a fine job.

I am sorry, I misquoted: I should of said you are almost halfway to your goal.

Get some help from your parents or friends. They surely noticed your weight loss and should support you in your effort. 8 pounds more isn’t that much and you’ll surely succeed!

Every diet promises miracles, but not in 48 hours. I read at http://www.projectweightloss.com about the Hollywood 48 hour miracle diet. It’s all about the “Miracle Juice”, which can help you lose up to 10 pounds. This juice is supposed to cleanse the body, by detoxifying it and removing the unwanted and unhealthy.
