I NEED SOME ADVISE..IM BEGGING!

If Crissy [an example name], if Crissy is not able to pay off her depts [credit card] depts, and is nearly going to be on bankruptcy…is there any possibity that she can be sent to jail?

depters prison is possible but almost never happens
because it cost the creditor bunch of money to keep you in jail.
You can of coarse go to jail if you do something criminal.
But borrowing money is not criminal.

because my cousin..has this problem. her bf promisd to pay the dept for her..but then he suddenly disappeared like magic.. so ye.

and im not a very rich person.

so how can i help her?

how can she fix this problem??

and im so afraid because…she might hurt herself. maybe U$4500 is not that big to others..but for her is crazy. she used the money for my other cousins, her brothers and sisters. she has 2 young brothers [age 8-9] and another 2 younger sisters [age 6-5]. my auntie past away [her mother] and my uncle [her dad] is a hard drinker real hard alcoholic and his alcoholic supplies came from his negative friends, because he does negative stuffs, but its good that Crissy my cousin and her siblings does not live with him. crissy is only 20. working not studying

she dont know what to do now..she cant go to jail and cant be bankcruptcy either…

she cant live her young siblings alone..and cant be bankcrupt, she needs to support her family. i want to help. but i can only help her by giving her some few food supplies.

she actually used the money for her two younger sisters…who got sick badly in the past few months.

here in my country nobody is jailed for non-payment of debts, except when the debtor issued checks because we have a special law on that and imprisonment is one of the penalties

I don’t know with your country. In my country, you don’t get sent off to jail for being unable to pay your debt. Poverty is not a crime. refusing to pay your debt even if you can pay, that’s another story. Estafa is also a grave offense. That’s when you issue checks and you know you don’t have that money yet you tell the person accept the check that you do have that money.

What the credit companies can do is to confiscate your assets.

What about holding a garage sale? That’s something she can do at home and in her spare time. Can’t she get financial assistance from your government?
