Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
as you go on with your life with prayers along, any problems you encounter will be a lot easier for you to handle, surprisingly. even just to say thank you. what ever you think is so easy for you will be a lot easier.
thank you. i may just have to look into that book. praying always helps me.
and never under estimate the power of prayer,
it can do wonders.
but you can’t say your life’s the way you really like the way it should be. And if ever you hadn’t notice, this post says it’s for those who need help. how could you say that you’re just fine when you had to read this for help, perhaps?
Why can I not say my life is not the way I want it to be?
“This post says it’s for those who need help. How could you say that you’re just fine when you had to read this for help, perhaps?”
What?

I don’t care about prayer. I’m satisfied.
what i meant to say is that, this post is actually meant for those who need help. Not for those who would protest about whatever.

then why my dear did you bother to bash on prayer in the first place if you “don’t care”…?
daddiesdarlyn is so right!! :D

How does prayer help? I’m helping warn people not to buy your snake oil.

Sorry. I don’t care FOR prayer.
then perhaps you should go argue about something you do care about.
…I never did ask you. but if you didn’t care… what made you reply on my post?

Because I care about people.
..that’s not helping them.. you’re actually drawing them away from salvation…and FYI, i post this for those who CARE!!!
“Because I care about people.”
i do to, but i don’t go around arguing/forcing my word & thoughts on religion, nor do i bash on others who have a different religion than i do, so don’t force atheism on people.

I care about people. How am I drawing people away from salvation? I’m saving them.
“Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime. Teach a man to pray for a fish, he dies waiting for a fish that never comes.”
The only result of prayer are expectations that are never met.

I’m not bashing anyone. I’m not forcing anyone to do anything. I’m just raising valid points.
I post this because i care for people especially for those who need help.
i think you must just not have much else to do…
daddiesdarlyn wrote:

If you’re praying I think you’re not doing much.
i can multi task, i don’t have to do an entire ritual to pray, it’s just like talking. and maybe i’ll throw you into one of mine tonight.
“The good Reverend Carlin was right, he said when you pray,
only 50% of the time will you get your way.
If God doesn’t listen to our cries when we call,
someone tell me, what’s the point of praying at all?”
-Voltaire; from the song, “Dead”
“He already know what you want,
and decided that you didn’t need it,
so don’t bother asking for cures or an answer,
God is the one who gave you the cancer.”
-Same Artist; from, “Same Song”
breath prayers are brief, heartfelt prayers that can help you to enjoy god’s company and surround by the people you love, you don’t have to retreat to the mountains or giving up your to do list, there’s really no need for much multitasking but it does still help.
How does asking an ancient Hebrew literary figure help more than actually doing something to change your situation?
…technically, its ourselves is to be blamed for cancer because if we hadn’t taken up anything that will harm our bodies we wouldn’t have it. so don’t blame god for any disease yo have
… failing helps you to do better next time, so don’t worry about failing
of course not… what kind of sick head would think that…

Sun = skin cancer.
Duh.
how can you study anything without any experiment
duh!! have you never heard pf sunblocks??
secondhendsrenad wrote:

Right. WE created those so GOD couldn’t give us CANCER from the SUN.
secondhendsrenad wrote:

And one of the major ingredients of sun blocks is… NOT PRAYER! Yes!!!
…there not a law containing christian talk have not science aspects
god gave us brain to think of a great solution for what ever disease may occur
secondhendsrenad wrote:

K. Then why can’t you use that mighty brain to write a legible sentence?
all i have to say is, i would much rather believe in something and have there be nothing, than to believe in nothing and have there be something.
good night gents.
what ever… you just have a low IQ and sense of self understanding
daddiesdarlyn is correct
secondhendsrenad wrote:

To the contrary. Anyone reading this can clearly see who has the higher IQ.
… its a matter of great understanding, and apparently you have none
verum causa, is that how fearful and weak you are to call someone who would take your side?
Nope.
However, I have seen a very angry, poorly educated Christ-pimper.
I must say, How WEAK!! … all i can say is that, you shouldn’t be bashing around people about their region.. who cares about you any way… like i said i post this for just to those i cared for… and not for people who would like to protest and argue instead of minding their own business.
oh… now you can see me?? really?? … how did that happen?? maybe in the world full of atheist
I’m just asking questions I would like answered, and responding when addressed by another.
Wow Xeno, I think the shock of having someone disagree with him has deteriorated his thinking and speech to an unprecedentedly low level.
…Hope that god would still bless you this christmas!!…
peace be with you atheist
am i supposed to laugh?? ..
See? Jesus makes you angry, bitter, and constipated.
Everyone else here is having a ball. The Christian is all sad.
BOO to xeno and verum!!!! booo!!!! what a looser!!!… what a belief..,
and what kind pof air head would pop an idea like that?? what a waste of time to argue about.. no competition..
You fail to make any form of intelligent point, jess.
Move along, if you please.
.. i wouldn’t want to waste my valuable time with unprecedentedly low kind of people
Score for Xeno. Please make your insults a little better. You’re not even getting a rise out of me.
…because its so stupid.
jess wrote:

Could you elaborate on that?
i said what you’re doing was really stupid.. does it give you great power to insult people..??
From a person who can only call people losers and low people, that seems like a really hypocritical question.
So I ask you:
jess wrote:

all i need to say is,,, believe in whatever you want to believe in. Don’t bash into one another’s belief
I’m sorry but I thought this site was to help people, either with advice or encouragement…. not to have arguments about people’s beliefs, thoughts and ideals… a good debate is always interesting, but some of these posts are close to bullying! Not an ideal way to discuss and share points of view… I’m new to the site and a bit surprised at some of the intolerance here!
Where’s any intolerance? We just don’t agree, and are sharing that. Y’all are the ones gettin’ feisty.
Right. I have a predisposition to be intolerant of useless and hurtful beliefs. I’m not ashamed of that, and I’m not going to apologize. My brand of encouragement? Get out there and do your own thing instead of uselessly praying to something you don’t even know exists.
for those who don’t care about praying, then don’t! and don’t even try getting yourself involved with any arguments about what you don’t even have much knowledge about it. it just give other people bad impressions for those who might have post something that is intolerance. sorry xeno and vercum, but you really don’t have to involve yourselves into this. it’s just for those who needs help through proper guidance from god. You’ve made your point, but i can see clearly that the one who post this has clarify his point clearly as well, and so has nothing more to do with your suspicious beliefs.
I don’t have beliefs, thank you.
And we have just as much a right to be here and share our views as anyone else.
so your right is to be argumentative? don’t you have much to do? .. stop poisoning other innocent people’s mind and beliefs. just so you are in different religion doesn’t mean you have to argue about what other religion believe in.. LOL!! WInner!!
How am I being argumentative? I just asked a few questions, and responded when addressed.
Sorry, I fail to see the problem here. You’re the only ones acting like freaks about this. All I did was disagree with you, by presenting logical points. Either counter them, or quityerbitchin’.
hi! this matter should have not start an argument, if ya’ll can’t respect prayers, just respect god. k? and i don’t need to elaborate on anything. just had to raise my point as anyone’s right to. please stop this debate or what so ever you call this. this is so not getting to anything. my reply isn’t for in particular.. it’s for all who got involved.

i go out into the community and volunteer my time to the homeless, the young and the elderly. i do this out of my own time in order to help people. im not religious im fact i have a problem when religious followers try to impose their religion on me. i do it because i am a good, compassionate caring human being. i don’t make money from it and i don’t ask for anything in return.
i care about people and there are more productive ways to help. now im going to end this, i dont want anyone to bless me or to inform me that i should find god, or that through my charity i have already seen the light… if i hear any of that i will open up whoopass on religion.

Respect god?… who the feck is he? i dont know him hes never done anything to earn my respect, as far as i can tell hes a reclusive loner whos prone to extreme (biblical) violence.
Respect god… just another way of imposing your believes upon the unwashed sinful masses.

Nope, that’s not how cancer works. I looked into it a fair bit, as I watched someone die from it while getting loads of prayer. Prayer is powerful stuff, especially the style you mention. Sports stars use it often but under a different name. God is a powerful anchor for you, and if you choose to continue using it for your own good and the good of those around you, it will only grow more powerful. Only risk is if your world view becomes brittle and you are forced to hide, delude and attack.
You are trying to help, I respect that. I agree that VerUm and XD got a bit harsh, but if you see people wandering around hoping that santa will help them, you want to step in and help them. And if you see people telling others to ask santa to help them, well then you really want to help them. And if you’ve been abused by religious f***tards most of your childhood, well you really want to help and protect people from it.
Most of what you say is all positive, and if it helps, then that’s cool. I think sharing about the power of personal mantras is great, but it doesn’t cure cancer.
do a search for the text “because im so stupid”. It was clever and accurate, but I ( and yes its just MPOV) think that misquoting people as insulting themselves is a bit harsh. If it saves them from wasting a life to delusional servitude then it would be worth it, and I’m new enough at this to not have an opinion either way.
I understand you choose not to play nice with noobs, and that’s working fine for you and has for a long time, I just find it harsh.
I play nice until people turn into idiots, or reveal their intolerance. In this case, both.
All good Xeno. I think my “harsh” comment was more directed at calming down the poster so they could see that you had valid points. I have “keep religious people from becoming angered” deeply ingrained and it one of my challenges to let that go. Even Mother Teresa upset a lot of people in her time, its the way things get done.
Wow, I had a huge insight writing that. HAHA, I’ll stone them right back if they try it now MWAH HA HA HA.
I pray every night. Not like kneel down next to my bed, usually just before I go to sleep. Just elps me get things of my mind and feel that something more powerful than me has an idea aout whats going on my life. :].

Wow, just realised I do that too. I write my concerns into a journal in the belief that “one day when I’m stronger I go back and read this” Never have yet.
