I lost my job and payed my credit cards for as long as I could but fell behind.

Now I have a good job making more than before I lost my other job. The credit card debt grew because of interest. Can they put a freeze on my checking account?

They won’t put a freeze on your checking account. But I would suggest you call your credit card companies and negotiate a repayment plan. You have to be proactive. If you try and ignore their calls or letters they *could* take you to court and the courts *can* make you pay.
