My older brother is really jealous of me and probably hates me.

he is a grown man with young kids and has cut them of from me and my young kids because we didn’t make him feel welcome enough at my son’s christening. How do I get him to stop for the sake of the kids?

You really can’t get him to stop feeling something. Clearly this is an issue that he has and sadly, you intervening may not be the best decision.
Instead of making accusations about what he’s done, maybe try focusing on the problem itself and how it makes you feel.
Use sentences that start with “I feel…” instead of “You did this..”.
If you beat down on your brother about this, it may only make the situation worse.
