I am freezing.

Feeling anxious, sick, and generally scared of the future. Is this me forever? Or, am I just feeling down…

I think you are just feeling down.

You should light some candles, take a hot bath and relax.

Turn the heat up. Put more wood on the fire. Cuddle up to your honey.

Sounds like you’re feeling down. So go do something fun and enjoy!

Er, no.
Christmas songs are hideous and more likely to exacerbate depression than help it IMO.

I moved in to live by myself but my rented house has cracked windows and doors, and there is 4 inches of snow outside, so, yeah, cold. I work in retail and have been dealing with Christmas since August, so, not a fan of Christmas anymore as it has become to commercialised for comfort for me.

I’d love a bath, but I don’t have one. House is too small.

Thanks guys for just responding. Feels better knowing I’m not alone.

p.s. I’ve had depression for a good part of 10 years, but it has been a lot worse so I would never let it get that bad again and know what to do if it does. I have social anxiety, and the only people I trust live no where near me, so I’m constantly anxious and alone, so I’m tired all the time, even after 11 or 3 hours sleep. Makes no difference.

Where I work, we’ve only had to deal with Christmas since the start of this month but it’s still enough to put you off it for life.

Is there no-one near you that you’re close to?

Because of my social anxiety I find it very stressing to spend time with people except very close family members and my boyfriend, but my mother lives a 25 min drive away, and my boyfriend lives over 400 miles from me and only visits once every 2 months. My only day off at Christmas is Christmas Day. I have to work boxing day and Christmas Eve, but Christmas is the only time I enjoy because it’s time with my family, but I don’t have any qualifications so I can’t get a different job that will pay more or the same, as I have no money anyway I can’t get any old job.

But, hey, you never know what will happen. Things just look like they won’t get better, that’s all.
