why are unix and linux so great

* Many desktop interfaces to choose from, and some are extremely customizable.
* A powerful command line, integrated into a powerful desktop.
* Virtually no adware, and virtually no spyware
* Doesn’t develop according to a corporate plan, it develops according to the users’ needs
* Easy scripts
* Great results on old machines
Oh… and it’s free.

how to use telnet

To use telnet in windows, you can simply type “telnet [address]” in start -> run (where address is the address you want to connect to). Some common commands are here:

Software engineering can bring big bucks these days and I do it because I enjoy programming, from C programs for fun to php & perl scripts for the web.
I’m in school studying Electrical Engineering while taking some additional programming courses. You should definitely get yourself familiar with using a unix/linux environment if you plan on doing corporate work in that field.

Good luck man.
