Please, I’m serious, help me stop singing!

I’m afraid I’m going to annoy the neighbors! Every time my family is out of the house (every day) I start singing and can’t stop! I’ve tried busying myself with other things and shutting my mouth completely, but it never works for more than five minutes! Now I’m losing my voice (although it won’t make much difference, most of the time I’m silent as the grave). It’s been going on for two years, and a friend of mine already heard me sing just before I picked up the phone. It’s embarrassing! Please, any advice?

You may be singing because your quiet most of the time. Singing may be you need to express yourself and say something. Try talking to you family or friends more. The singing may diminish.

If you sing with a good voice there is nothing to be annoyed about. Anyway who cares if you sing?! Singing usually expresses people’s emotions and feeling and there is nothing wrong with singing!

Thing is, the one other person that’s heard me is my mother a few years ago, and she told me that I can’t sing. So I’m not sure if I’m a good singer or not. The friend that caught me said that I could be good if I practiced, but he doesn’t have to put up with it.

Sing, I’m sure it’s good for your spirit.

I don’t see a problem with it. If it makes you feel good, do it. Who cares what others think.

Sing with your head up, with your eyes closed, not because you love the song, but because you love to sing.

I enjoy singing while at home, while taking a bath or even washing dishes but I never had the problem that you have now. First, I would like know what really happened to you….I mean why can’t you really control yourself? There must be a reason for that. Can your remember?

To be honest, when I am alone, I sing. I make up songs. I sing to my brother sometimes and it either bugs the heck out of him or he finds it humorous. I have never been very good at singing either, it’s just a stress reliever. I ALWAYS sing when alone in my car on the way to work or somewhere. It’s usually how I get past all the bad things that have happened that day. I will be singing to day! So if singing helps, continue.
