Internet help: I’m at a loss how to fix an issue I’m having with Internet Explorer. - Help.com

I’m at a loss how to fix an issue I’m having with Internet Explorer.

It will not connect to the internet on one profile. However I am able to connect on a second profile. Also, on the profile I am unable to connect to the internet on I can still play games online. I’ve tried messing with the firewall, but that hasn’t helped. Any suggestions?

I’m running XP.

if you are running XP, got to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Run IE (with no add-ons). This is the easiest way to find out if its a problem with the profile of the program. If this works then, it is an add-on so you can decativate it. To do that go to: Tools > manage add-ons > Enable or disable add-ons. Then you can remove them all and add them back one by one, or if you know which one it is, disable it. Do you have another internet browser? If so, you can uninstall it and re-download it. That should work. Try the first one first. It sounds a lot but hopefully it will work.
