i was considering in checking into a mental or behavioral

hospital of some sort, but i read somewhere that instead of just going and checking in you should talk to your GP, which i guess is a general practitioner. is this true? if so where and how can i go about getting one. and how much does this service normally cost. im only 20 and only make $300 every 2 weeks and i use it all for rent and other bills. any information would help. thank you so much.

If you are feeling suicidal, or feel like hurting yourself if any way then go the a hospital emergency room. Most have mental health people that can help you.

Ok , everyone here needs to give at least some clue as to at least which COUNTRY you are from .For that has alot to do with the answer that you would be given. But yes, If from The U.S, there are programs to get certian meds that can help relieve ,perhaps , what is bothering you. They can help, but yi=ou have to give the a chance.Take them EXACTLY how prescribed. And let your GP know if the are any adverse effects. No matter how odd or bad they may be. He can then adjust your meds or even prescribe a different one for you.
