emergency problem!

My toilet will not stop flushing. The water just keeps running and running and running and it’s a huge waste of water. HOW DO YOU MAKE IT STOP???

press the button a few times ,that is the easiest .If not successful lift the top of your cistern and look at the plunger if it sits straight .There could be other things wrong but they need a professional to look at..

In really old toilets, the thingie that conects the handle to the ball thingie that makes it flush can come unconnected and you’ll have to move it back so it stops running.
