When I do a search using google, yahoo, etc., and click on the page I want to go to, I’m being re-directed to an entirely unrelated page.

Can anyone help me?

Sounds like you have a malware, i.e. virus, trojan, spyware, or more likely adware.

First download this program, once installed, click on ‘update definitions’, then run a quick system scan. At the end it will give a report on what infections it found and fixed.

After that, reboot your computer, then do another scan using the free online tools, search for either:

ESET Online Scanner
Trend Micro Housecall

You will likely need to run those in Internet Explorer (run as Administrator if using Vista) in order to install the Active X control required to scan your computer and clean infections.

Once your system is clean, you should consider getting an active Internet Firewall and Virus scanner installed on your system, AVG is free I think, or you can get a free trial of Zonealarm or similar program.
